Helping Tyco make the right connections
PERA Cymru delivered a BIT programme at Tyco Electronics in Bodelwyddan, near Rhyl, that generated real benefits in workplace efficiency and teamwork. Tyco Electronics is a large US business with global sales of more than $14 billion, employing around 77,000 people (2009 figures). The Bodelwyddan site is one of several Tyco Electronics operations in the UK and focuses on fibre optic cable production, and electronics and software development for use in the Telecommunications industry.
Fox’s Biscuits are doing their BIT
One of the UK’s leading food manufacturers embraced some of Pera’s business improvement training so wholeheartedly, it helped them win an award. Yorkshire based Fox’s Biscuits won the Train to Gain Consortium Award for ‘Best Large Employer’ in the county. This was for their enthusiastic approach to Train to Gain, which included the Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) Programme which was delivered by Pera.
Business improvement training breaks the mould at RGE
Training in Business Improvement Techniques delivered by Pera enabled plastic component manufacturer RGE Group to achieve NVQ level 2 accreditation for 49 employees. By tailoring the training to their precise needs, RGE were able to realise efficiencies that will be worth almost half a million pounds annually.
